Tech fans are going to be pissed.
They tend to understand games against JMU, Richmond or W&M as there is the local connection. But I'm willing to bet most have never even heard of Northeastern and probably will think the ticket is a typo...I really hope the huskies can shock the world.

Here is the probable Northeastern Huskies' brutal opening schedule of 2006:
9/2 at Georgia Southern
9/9 at Virginia Tech
9/16 at North Dakota State
9/23 at James Madison

WTF?????? That is ridiculous. They may not have any healthy starters after those four games. Four, as you said, BRUTAL road games. In a row.

I have no idea what their AD is thinking except maybe for the $. But if one loses a lot then other sources of $ will shrink. Also I think that when Northeastern does finally play at home it looks to be two in a row against challenging opponents in Richmond (9/30) and Delaware (10/7). If Northeastern is somehow 5-1 after these 6 games next year, then I will consider them a very legitimate national title contender.

Are you kidding, they should be #1 in everyone's poll if they went 5-1 with that schedule.

That's a tough thing to do to your football team.
Northeastern went 2-9 this year, but nobody remembers how well they played.
They lost to GSU and William & Mary in OT by a combined total of 6 points.
They lost to Northwestern State by 2 points. And they lost to Maine and Hofstra by a combined total of 7 points.
Five losses by four points or less
