Really undisciplined play by the Tribe.

Nova scored from the 1st play from scrimmage on a wildcat give to the QB (I think)

WM later drove to the Nova 5 and then Archer threw an ill advised 3rd down pass and was intercepted

WM stopped Nova 3 and out but a taunting penalty kept the drive alive and Nova scored a TD.

Tribe had the momentum, then Riggins fumbled 2 plays after a nice play from Grimes got us to midfield. Nova took it back to the 25 and punched it in from there...21-3 with under 2 to go in the first half.

On the upside, its not 35-0 like last year...just need another 28-7 run to follow the big Nova romp like last year!

You are correct - that combined with him getting burnt by Delaware receivers for 2 TDs in the 4th quarter last week aren't going to bode well for his playing time.

You can't have 2 personal fouls and 2 turnovers in the first half and expect to be in the game.

Richmond has no slight when it comes to Nova. We know they play hard every game. You get our respect every time, every year and every game. Besides the way you playing you do not need anyone's respect, you showing it.

I honestly thought we were a bit overrated coming in, but to this point, our performance has been actually been solid (220 yards to nova's 202, 11 first downs to 10, 15:27 time of possession). What I underestimated was our knack for boneheaded plays. The end zone interception was just a poor decision that cost us a FG. The personal foul cost us a TD. I'd be pretty happy on the road down 14-9 with the ball first in the 2nd half.

I'm anxious to see how these two great coaches adjust at the half. Laycock has done a great job this year so far and Talley always does a fantastic job. Could get interesting or could get UGLY.

Give us another half before the overrated thread starts! :)

We can't do it. Been a problem all season. Knew it would bite us when we got to the CAA gauntlet.

Archer has been terrible today.

Appreciate that - Nova is a really good team, but I really don't get the feeling from watching this game that you are 19 points better than W&M. We've got to build on how well we can move the ball between the 20s on good defenses and figure out how to get in the end zone.

Looking forward to our next 4 games with the 3 bottom feeders and hoping we get a JMU team that's down coming off the Hofstra loss and games with Nova and Richmond. 4-1 + 4-0 = the all important 8 wins.

Before we get to Nova there are some mountains named, JMU, UMass and Maine that need to be crossed before we get there. CAA is just plain ole brutal.

I know it's not their style, but I'd like to see them line up in an "I" formation sometimes and just pound the ball. They're going to need to do that at times this year. I'm afraid they're going to get into a game in the next few weeks where they are up by 4 with 4:00 to go, and they just need to get a few first downs.
