Respectfully, I watched the game and the final "one fumble" did not "give" our GSU Eagles anything.

I don't think one miscue of this type, no matter who is playing, "gives" the other team a win.

I'm not by any means saying our young Eagles whipped butt, but they did win, and if after 4 quarters of football the "one fumble" was only part of the reason.

I'm not looking for trouble, and Lord knows if your Terriers hadn't be decimated by illness and injury, our Eagles would have been in a world of hurt. But illness and injury for your team, and youth and inexperience with our team are just realities and the game was played and thankfully, and surprisingly, we slipped out Terriertown with a win.

IF one "fumble" or miscue can be said to "give" a win to the opponent in any football game I would suggest the game was up for grabs anyway.

I'm a huge Eagle fan, but check out the stats and you'll find we play an amazing number of freshmen and soph's... We are extremely young, and truth be told we simply are not that good, yet, and the best thing our fans can look for is the proverbial "next year"... :)

Again, no offense to you, but our young men played wayyy to hard yesterday for a hard earned, badly needed win against your Terriers, so saying the win was "given" to us just isn't given them the credit they deserve.

Luck to your team for the rest of the season.. Hope the flu leaves, and the injured recover.

If you read my post a bit more carefully you might discern that my comments were not intended as a criticism of the Terrier football team in any manner.

I was merely commenting that there was a bit more to "who" won the game, and "why" the game was won than one fumble by the Terriers, and that the young GSU team was not GIVEN anything.

The Wofford QB was being pressed and made a bad toss.. The receiver had the opportunity to recover the fumble and was unable to do so. Our team recovered the fumble, CAUSED by defensive pressure to the quarterback, and that's all there was to it.

I did not attend the game. My wife and I are senior citizens on a fixed income and we simply were not financially able to make such a trip. My comments were made from watching the game in streaming video on Terriervision.

I think I'm pretty calm for an old fart.. What's your excuse?

If you insist on saying GSU was given the win by the fumble, then I would suggest GSU GAVE Wofford a chance at a comeback win by the fumbled snap and 2 yard punt a short time before.. THEN Wofford, and I'm quite sure it was not voluntary, returned the favor.

As I said before, best wishes to the Terriers the rest of the season. I did not make my comments to cause you to go off your meds, NOR to demean the Terrier players in any manner, just making an observation that I feel reasonably sure most fans, for either team, who watched the game might agree with.
