It’s the Autumn of 2009, and the trend in college football is to have “Spread” type offenses with 4 and 5 Wide Receiver sets. The goal is to spread the defense all over the field, then exploit said defenses with skill, speed, and athleticism. Most teams have their “STAR” QB, that can run and pass. Most teams have a running back who has break away speed, or can power through the line for the tough yard. Most teams have tall, fast, and talented receivers. Lastly, most teams have 5 big offensive linemen that make Mt. Rushmore look small. However, it’s the Defense, or the teams with good defenses that are ruling the day in 2009.
