Are you serious? This is grasping at straws. He's eight or nine years past his prime.

Interesting signing. I wonder how much is left in those knees of his, and I wonder what his role will be. Can't see him being signed to play special teams, so maybe a 1st/2nd down role?

While most guys are shooting up on 'roids, Trotter will be shooting up on Geritol and Centrum Silver. Don't really know why the Eagles think he will be able to do much for them. Yeah, he might be able to bring a little bit of tenacity to the D, but for how long?

1998 was his rookie season and he had one of his best years in 2005 so I don't know about 8 or 9. xcoffeex

He's a situational linebacker - he'll see time on running downs and goal line - not sure why people think this is desperate or grasping at straws. He's not going to be out there all that much and he's had some years to heal up his knees. Dude was and certainly is still a great run stopper. That will come in handy the 4 games versus the cowpokes and the Giants. No problem with this move at all.
