Jones rushed for four touchdowns and had 190 yards on just 15 carries to help Eastern Washington finish with 537 yards of offense in a 56-30 win at Sacramento State. His yardage total was the 29th-highest in school history, and the best by an Eagle since Dezmon Cole had 199 versus Weber State on Oct. 23, 2004. Including 69 yards on kickoff returns and a pass reception for 20 yards, Jones finished with 279 all-purpose yards.
Along with Jones, quarterback Tim Buckley of Alcorn State, linebacker D.J. Smith of Appalachian State and receiver/returnman Aaron Woods of Portland State have been named The Sports Network's FCS national players of the week.
