Why is South Dakota getting votes? I know they got a win, but did they not watch the UNI game or something? I mean a team recieveing votes shouldn't get those results.

Well by looking at it objectively. Our only losses are to

#24 FAMU by 9 (Closest margin of victory for FAMU so far)
Delaware by 10 (DSU did look impressive, even if UD was "sleepwalking" thru that game.)

And our win is against tradiational MEAC power Hampton by 15

So MAYBE that might warrant one vote, but THREE?!?!? xlolx

People tend to use that "traditional power" verbage when a team used to be very good and isn't any more. Hampton's had two straight 6 win seasons, and doesn't look like they're destined for anything better this year. Can't get too crazy about that win.

And UD is another one of those "traditional CAA powers" - tradition being that they aren't one right now. xlolxxsmhx

Tennessee Tech got a vote??? I don't vote on that poll, so, don't blame me! I was at the K-State game Saturday (49 - 7 K-State) and uh, no, TTU does not deserve a vote. I'm thrilled that they did, but, maybe next year we'll be up there.

Same reason that NDSU has a vote - to some people all us Dakota schools look the same. xoopsx

This one is nearly impossible to justify.

I really think the only justification is that some people had Wofford high enough in their poll that they didn't want to drop them entirely out, yet they didn't believe in Chattanooga enough to vote them in.

I dropped Wofford from 12th or 13th to entirely out. On top of the loss, the injuries Wofford has suffered makes it impossible to make a case for them as a Top 25 team.

not that i think montana is the #1 team in the country how do they not get at least 1 first place vote? they were national runner up last yr and havnt really done anything to not get one. they have won the games. IMO Richmond, WM, and UNH havnt really looked that much better then montana. sure they have a fbs win but Duke and temple are pretty much FCS teams. I guess this is why we have the playoffs to find a real #1

I guess some people in life are not happy unless they run others down. OK some teams got votes others don't agree with, who cares! Why is important to question others votes in a public forum? This a new form of sportsmenship or what, why not give the team an at-a-boy for winning over some hearts and minds ?

I haven't even mentioned Furman's placement in any poll yet. But how can 3-1 Furman be behind 1-3 Wofford, especially considering Furman beat UTC by 18?

Butler and Dayton with more votes than CCSU...comical.

That is just good common sense. OK, I'm not sure that Butler could hang with CCSU yet, but I think you would be surprised. Now that Dayton has found a QB to go with a very good defense, I have no doubt that the Flyers could handle any NEC team, including CCSU. Hopefully, we both win our conferences and you can come to Dayton for the GIC and we'll settle it on the field. By that point, both teams might be fighting for that all important top 40 ranking....

On the other hand, do you really give a you know what about who is ranked in the 50's out of a 120 team division?
