John Madden = IQ-Zero

Did anyone else notice during the MNF game this week John Madden made a point earlier in the game that he dripped some mustard on his red tie. He then later went on to explain that yellow + red = green, which was the color it appearently made on his tie. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought yellow + red = orange. Blue + yellow = green. John Madden either needs to find better things to comment on, or retire.

LoL...anytime I hear Madden anymore, I'm reminded of the MadTV skit about Senile Madden.

The more John Madden commentates, the better he USED to be.

There are a lot of dumba$$ announcers doing NFL games this year. I haven't watched too many games, but at least 2 or 3 times a game I'll yell out something because one of the announcers is being a moron!

What I really love is when Either Troy Dickman or Daryl Johnston commentate for the Redskins games...nothing like having a Cowbitch commentating for a Redskins game!! Most of the time, they stay neutral...but man, when the Redskins eff up (and they do alot!!!) they jump on them and make sure everyone knows that the Redskins can't do anything right. It seems that at least one of them has been the commentator on TV over the past 2 seasons. :bang: :bang:

You guys are tough on announcers! Trying to add interesting commentary for 3+ hours can't be an easy job. Anybody forced to talk constantly for that time period is bound to say some stupid and inane things.

For the record, I always found Madden to be entertaining and Aikman usually does a pretty good job also.

The main reason I watch very little (especially MNF) is the excessive commercial breaks. Most MNF games run over 3 hours and really drag because they go to commercial after seemingly every change of posession, even turnovers. It's absurd, and I don't think the NFL realizes that it is one of the biggest reasons ratings are down for MNF.

No, they don't all suck. Only the ones that suck do. :D
In the DC area, I used to love Sonny/Sam/Frank on 106.7 on the radio in DC...then they canned Frank and added some young punk, so they aren't very good anymore, but now and then I'll still listen to them on the radio and mute the TV, especially if a Cowfag is commentating.

My fav of all is Joe Buck. Al Michaels and Dick Enberg are damn good too.

There is one thing worse:
Watching a game at a crowded sports bar and listening to the drunken hack glory-riders bitch and moan because their (latest) favorite team is losing! Even the Raider fans aren't as bad.

Seriously, I saw and heard some Tampa Bay fan making an utter jacka$$ out of himself at a Buffalo Wild Wings about 2 months ago. Everybody (and I mean everybody) in the bar was laughing at him. If I have to choose between listening to Dan Dierdorf or "Chuck the recent Seattle Seahawk fan," I'll take Danny-boy any day!

Guess I'm in the minority when I say that I really don't pay attention to the announcers, any announcers, during a football game. Hell, I don't really pay attention to the announcers of any sporting event.

Except for NASCAR.........
