Plus, it is a different world with BJ Coleman at QB (the guy is for real)...Mocs have always had a good receiving corps, but no one to get the ball to them. Also, it helps to have RB Fitzgerald back (I mean, he was picked pre-season SoCon 1st team last year before getting injured)

It will be interesting to see how the Mocs do in the 2nd half...playing with a lot of emotion can get you thru the half...2nd half will be gut check and you know Wofford and Ayers aren't just going to lie down.

It will be interesting to see how the Mocs do in the 2nd half...playing with a lot of emotion can get you thru the half...2nd half will be gut check and you know Wofford and Ayers aren't just going to lie down.

I'm well aware Allison doesn't coach there anymore, and, nothing personal, I could care less who the coach at UTC is. There is an expectation for success at Wofford from those of us that had to beat better teams with less support then this current team has. This team is young, but no one cares how old you are in college football, just how successful you are.

These guys need to learn how to be successful. Lets see how well they are absorbing this lesson...

I said earlier this week that Wofford may be walking into a hornets next here.

Many thought Western Carolina would be much improved over last season and thought UTC would be the cellar dweller. Well, after Furman played UTC two weeks ago they they were better than I thought they'd be.

UTC has always had some of the best athletes in the conference, but played with very little discipline and tend to make stupid errors. If a coach can come in and correct the mental errors, they might pull and upset or two.

I personally am glad Furman got in and out of Chattanooga before this team figures it out.

I consider big 3 for Wofford when they have consistent winning season, playoff appearances and are generally competitve in FCS games. I simply ainjuries are a part of football and flogging commenced. I guess I do not know anything about American football...sorry for my "big 3" mispost. I enjoy seeing the Mocs beat Wofford because they generally have the type of season we are used to having. I am just more happy for one team than I am the other, sorry but Wofford is the one I am not cheering for. Congrats to the Mocs. I ook forward to the match up in November!

we stink.. and we were overrated... we are young... Woffy has a lot of optimists and we all thought that we could do something special this year, yet I feel taht mst of us are realistinc and had us somewhere around 6-5, 7-4. I think 7-4 is still possible, heck we could get things fixed and finish 8-3.

Everybody has a bad game and this was our bad game. Time to forget it and move on.

Admittedly you guys have been good for a long time, but, just because Wofford is having a bit of a tough year doesn't mean the Southern Conference is having a down year.

After seeing this shocking Wofford loss go across the screen, I would have to disagree with you Cid. While it is nice to see that the level of competition in the SoCon is more all-around this year, as evidenced by the UTC win, it seems like the conference is a little worse than it has been in previous years. We do not have an undefeated team in the conference this season (even though 3 of the SoCon schools are undefeated in FCS play). App St. lost an FCS game a little earlier than expected, and GSU got blown out by SDSU in a game people thought would be a GSU win or at the very least, close. I think the main reason it seems that the conference is worse is maybe because the teams in the conference were overhyped at the beginning of the season, and the SoCon teams are trying to live up to, perhaps, unrealistic expectations....expectations that were heightened because of the early-season success of several of the CAA schools.

Your putting too much stock into years past...This is not LAST years team or the year before that for that matter...We had a lame duck coaching staff that nobody wanted to play for last year.

It makes little sense to attempt to talk it out. He is convinced of his own intellectual superiority. We all just need to let him be. Even if Wofford doesn't win against Citadel this season, I can take solace that I knew nothing but success against them while I was on the field.

Kind of like Chatty.

Wofford is not as good as we have been and Chatty is better than they have been. Bottom line...as for what is to come, we will see. But take nothing away from Chatty.......they deserved the win!!!!!!!
