Johnny Gray (Punt Returner) told me in class that black pants are a for sure. They considered wearing white as a "special occasion" as black were supposed to be "Dome-Only" But Coach Farley has gone to the philosophy that the dome is the people and the team not the building!!

PS- Prior to Mark Farley UNI always wore white pants in the Dome!!!

I must admit I don't like UNI's helmets. My favorite UNI helmet was the one they had back in 1992 (I think). Back then they had a neat looking panther head...not "cartoony" looking like the current one...without the intitials. The current one does look a lot better with the home uniforms than it does with the road uniforms though.

actually, no...there's something about this in one or more of the other championship threads. UNI's side of the bracket won the coin toss to be the "home team" at Chattanooga. Aparently, it is standard to give the team which is more likely to bring more fans the North side of the stands for TV purposes.

You will NEVER see the Panthers in white pants again. Farley hates them. We wore all-white in his first game against a division I opponent in Iowa State. We looked fat and slow and they kicked our a$$ that game. Never again.

You are thinking of the Flying Attack Squirrel Helmets. They were worn I think for the Terry Allen era. When Dunbar came they went to the NI (hated it). I think the new one is a relfection of the old attack squirrel helmet but the promo people probably wanted to have UNI on the helmet somewhere so it would be recognized. could post a pic....not that bright

Once the 16-team bracket has been determined, the NCAA Division I-AA Football Committee will determine by a coin flip as to whether the winner of the top part or lower part of the bracket will be the home team for the championship game.
