Albany vs. Sacred Heart - if the Danes play like they did in the second half of the Maine game there isn't a team in the NEC that can touch them. If that were the case they'd also be 2-1 and talking about playoffs. Instead we'll just have to "settle" for a run at the NEC title and hopefully a trip somewhere warm for the consolation prize.
Bryant @ RMU - RMU needs this win. 0-4 will be a disaster for team morale.
CCSU @ Columbia - A shootout, but CCSU by 10. I might stop by this game on my way to the Yankee/Red Sox game at 4:30.
Duquesne @ Dayton - Duquesne is better.
Monmouth @ Old Dominion - A great place to play for MU, but MU spoils the ODU party.
SFPA @ Wagner - I've never picked St Francis to win a league game before. Hopefully they don't blow it.

Albany vs. Sacred Heart - Albany wins big at home
Bryant @ RMU - Bryant gets a big road win. They struggle on the road, but RMU has started cold
CCSU @ Columbia - game may be tougher than we thought
Duquesne @ Dayton - Dayton has between a slow starting RMU, and a DII(NAIA transfer ;)), and Duquesne has played a good road game in Louisiana and two other good early tests
Monmouth @ Old Dominion - gets to play in front of a nice crowd and gets the win
SFPA @ Wagner - a good start to the season and hopefully to league play

Sacred Heart @ Albany - Danes win, but I think they may have to score 21+ this week.
Bryant @ Robert Morris - A long trip for Byrant out to Western PA. Colonials have been on the short end of some close ones so far and turn it around.
CCSU @ Columbia - Central's first-ever Ivy football opponent; a nice road win for the resume and a 2-1 record heading into NEC play.
Duquesne @ Dayton - Last week I had the Dukes over Monmouth and RMU over Dayton. I was wrong on both games, so I'll take the Flyers at home.
Monmouth @ Old Dominion - ODU will have a huge crowd and a good team, but I think the Hawks put it togeather and leave with a win.
Saint Francis @ Wagner - I've picked the Flash before, only to watch them dissapoint me, so I may just be a sucker - we shall see.

Sacred Heart@Albany: Albany is a tough, tough team.
Bryant@RMU: Hope I am wrong, but the O-line for RMU has be awful.
CCSU@Columbia: I hope its an easy win.
Duquesne@Dayton: Dukes are pretty solid this year.
Monmouth@Old Dominion: Tough to get a good read on this, I think MU can get it done though. Could be very close.
SFPA@Wagner: As others have said, I think is the first time I have ever picked SFPA. Do not really know their injury situation, which is very important as I am not sure they have the depth as some of NEC teams. I would love to see the Flash get it going, they had some hard times and I think they have a hell of a good coach up there.*I am a closet SFPA fan*

Albany vs. SHU: Great comeback win for the Danes last week vs. Maine. SHU still looking for their first W, won't find it at Albany. Albany 34-14
Bryant @ RMU: Close call. RMU (0-3) is one score or stop weekly away from being undefeated. I'm going with the trend. Bryant 21-20
CCSU @ Columbia: Columbia was impressive vs. Fordham and should put up some points on CCSU. CCSU 34-28
Duquesne @ Dayton: Dayton pulled off what I think was a mild upset last week vs. RMU. Duquesne looks to bounce back. Duquesne 20-14
Monmouth @ ODU: At (3-0) ODU gets a FCS reality check when the Hawks come to town. Monmouth 31-17
St. Fran (Pa) @ Wagner: The Red Flash might be the SHU of last year. I can't pick against the Seahawks. Wagner 27-21

Can you share your insight on the Duquense and ODU picks this week? I think both are going to be very close, just wanted to know your perspective on them.

Albany vs. Sacred Heart
This season is going to be the "What If" season for Albany. What if Albany had beaten Georgia Southern and played UMASS tougher? Playoffs?
Oh well.
Albany starts strong and finishes strong against Sacred Heart.
Albany 35-17
Bryant @ RMU
RMU has never started 0-4. But this game will be tough. Bryant looks to be a big physical team and RMU had trouble with Dayton when they started to play physical. Bryant will play tough but I think RMU will find a way to win.
RMU14-13
CCSU @ Columbia
CCSU coming off a bye week will be a little rusty but late in the 3rd quarter they will slowly pull away.
CCSU 24-20
Duquesne @ Dayton
Dayton is coming off a huge win against RMU. The Dukes could easily be 3-0. I think the Dukes have too much fire power for Dayton. Dukes win but Dayton keeps it close.
Dukes 38-28
Monmouth @ Old Dominion
Big Home game for Old Dominion but Monmouth has too much talent.
Monmouth 31-20
SFPA @ Wagner
Is SFPA really for real? Is Wagner now the new SFPA? I think SFPA now believes that they can compete within the NEC.
SFPA 24-21

Albany vs. Sacred Heart-- Game gets ugly real fast.
Bryant @ RMU--- Bryant will be very tough.
CCSU @ Columbia--- Shootout, Going to be a homer and pick the NEC team.
Duquesne @ Dayton---- Maybe Williams has learned to tuck the ball and not carry it like a hot potato.
Monmouth @ Old Dominion-- Probably the best team ODU has played so far. We have not played well at all this season and quite frankly were lucky to win last week.
SFPA @ Wagner--- SFPA seems to be playing much better this season. xthumbsupx Hoping the long trip doesn't do them in.

Wow, the Flyers derailed the NEC folks picks for the second week in a row. Dayton just needs to play NEC teams, and stay away from those Division II teams....
Actually, the Flyers have found a QB. Steve Vallentino has the tools to be another Kevin Hoyng. His passing is much improved, his decision making is improving and will only get better with more experience, and he can run!
The Flyers are back and should compete for the PFL title.... Things are looking much better than after that first game....

DF - a few of us (like me) picked Dayton!
Problem is that Dayton's "best wins" are vs mid-tier NEC teams. The best NEC wins are vs fully schollys/equiv teams like Maine, Lehigh, Columbia, etc.
Until you beat Albany, CCSU, or Monmouth, the Flyers would only be the 4th best team in the NEC :)

Bring em on.... After week one, most were ready to bury the Flyers! Two weeks later, the Flyers are crawling back. Who knows, if we can continue to improve, we just might get to host one of the teams you mentioned in Dayton for the GIC. By the way, I do not think that Monmouth defeated Duquesne by a wider margin than the Flyers.... I would like our chances against any of the three NEC teams mentioned. Not a bad place to be after losing at home to a middlin Division II team at home in week one....
By the way, good job in going with the Flyers!

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Urbana blow out Robert Morris, so I wouldn't be tooting your horn just yet, DetroitFlyer.

Honestly...what is going on at RMU. Played tough games...and now are just ****ting the bed.
This team has been "young" for awhile.
Hope they get their shyte togeter (but not against the Danes.

A great reason to not play lower division teams.... Losing FCS games hurts enough, losing to lower divisons REALLY hurts. Robert Morris is not a bad team. If the receivers could hang on to a ball now and again, you would have beaten the Flyers. Robert Morris seems to have talent, they just struggle to get the most out of it on a consistent basis.

Something different every week.
Week 1 at VMI, missed an extra point (!!!) and fell 14-13. QB threw 2 picks then too.
Week 2 at Bucknell, QB throws back to back pick sixes, hole is too deep, RMU falls 26-23.
Week 3, host Dayton, new QB, with the former starter bumped to 3rd string, but the offensive line decides that it's their turn to struggle and the QB doesn't have time to even get set. Dayton stacks the line and dares the Colonials to pass. They can't, Dayton wins 21-14.
Week 4, host Bryant, O-Line is bad enough that they send the QB to the hospital. Backup comes in and goes 0 for 7. Former starter returns and tries to lead a comeback on the final drive but throws an interception at the end of the game.
Defense is outstanding. Special teams has been fine since Week 1. But the offense is absolutely dreadful.

On the whole, the NEC is an offensively challenged group.
We have some great Defensive teams. Heck, even SFPA seems to have improved on D (minus this week).
I don't see too many games in which NEC teams are putting up 24+ against anybody.

Like I said early before the season started...I was FAR from impressed with this years UA offensive unit. Too many losses on the O-Line...and now we cant run it down Sacred Heart's throat.
