A dominant performance for the Tribe. The game was not as close as the score, as W&M played it close to the vest, protecting RJ Archer's injured leg, and sticking almost exclusively to a power running game in the second half. Ahead 27-0 going into the 4th, Archer came out, and the Tribe went to its backups on both sides of the ball.

Norfolk State got their points late on some nice throws from Dennis Brown to a very talented group of receivers. If Brown can improve his efficiency, he's certainly got playmakers to throw to.

While the size of the crowd was disappointing, this game featured the most amiable interaction among opposing fans I've ever been priveleged to be part of. The Norfolk State tailgate scene is alot of fun, and they welcomed the Tribe faithful with open arms. Old Spartans...young Spartans...all Spartans embraced us with a zest for life, and a love of college football. It would take me pages to recount the details of the extraordinary relationship that evolved throughout the evening.

Regardless of the outcomes on the field in this two year series, Norfolk State University has stamped itself indelibly in the hearts, and minds of Tribe fans.
