In his last 2 games has average of 4+ INTS.

Is it time for the Panthers to move on?

He was pitiful on Sunday - then McCown goes down almost immediately and Moore isn't any better. I'd like to lump a pile of blame on Jake, but the O-line isn't getting the job done either. xoopsx

Hopefully he/they can turn it around but that was just awful, all the talk about making good on the playoff loss and it comes to this...

I have supported him through thick and thin, it's starting to get get real thin. Did they ever talk to Garcia? Although it was not just Jake on Sunday, but he was pathetic...

I read this morning that he's thrown 11 INTs in the last 6 1/2 quarters of play. Also, the guys in the locker room want him to stay in and see him as the team leader. xnonono2x

Maybe the O-line will show up and give him some protection against Atlanta to show whether it's his arm, the O-line, or both. xoopsx

i think it was 4 years, but for a BUNCH of money guaranteed. I have TRIED to be a Pantthers fan, my home state and all. I have never thought he could play, and I'm very down on him now. A decent QB with Mushin Muhammad and Steve Smith, watch out! With Jake, it won't happen.xsmhx

Fox better decide who he's going to continue to hitch the wagon to - pulling for the Panthers is getting embarrassing, in spite of the playoff run last year. :(

As a Cowboy fan, I enjoyed it.

But only 1 of his 3 turnovers last night was his fault and it still could have been avoided (if MM would have knocked it down). The slant cut off by SS killed him on the pick-6. Then the OL fell off at the end of the game.

Jake isn't a starting QB anymore. A good backup, yes. He is the kind of verteran you want around a team. Tony Romo is overrated, and I think I would rather have Delhomme if I was filling out a roster.

I'll give you the SS one. But the MM one was way under thrown!

You'd take Jake over Tony? You must be a Panthers fan because that is mind dumbing...you must be kidding or you are hitting the sauce early today!

Yeah, that one was Delhomme's fault, but MM wasn't really thinking that the ball was coming and made no reall effort to knock it down. Though with that coverage it shouldn't have been throw in the first place.

No, actually I'm a long time Cowboys fan. I have tried to be a Panthers fan, then they do something stupid like signing David Carr, or giving Jake a big, longterm contract. Romo isn't very good. I like that he was an FCS guy, beyond that, I think being on the cover of US and People magazines has convinced him he's a rock star and not a football player. And, if I were Jerry Jones, I would have walked onto the field last night, yanked the head set off of Wade Phillips, and told him to clean out his office before sun up. Clock management and play calling are consistently bad, week in and week out. Isn't John Gruden available??

Wade doesn't call the O plays though, would have to fire Garrett for that.

And God no I don't want Gruden.

I would take Romo over Delhomme anytime currently. Romo is just middle of the road right now, could be better, but could be a lot worse.

Well it wasn't Romo's fault that his OC wanted to throw twice from the 1 yard line when they had been dominating on the ground...Romo made no mistakes and the Cowboys controlled the ball for nearly 40 minutes...oh and they won. So I am not sure what kind of miracles you think were going to happen but I will take that rather then errant and stupid mistakes..

Yup...like any QB before him and after Aikman...I think people seem to forget how bad things were. Also, he is unfairly criticized. I don't hear the national media jumping down Carson Palmers throat because his career has been useless?!

you mean you didn't like Clint Stoerner? xlolx Romo isn't unfairly criticized, he's the QB for the Dallas Cowboys, one of the most attention getting (right or wrong) teams in sports. It comes with the territory. That's the risk he took when he put that helmet on. He had to know what was coming, I was there when he came in against the Texans in 06 after Drew Bledsoe got booed off the field.

I loved Clint...xeyebrowx It is true that he will be looked at more then most QB's due to where he plays but he has been a 2 time Pro Bowler and has a QB rating well into the 90's and people, including Tony Dorsett act like he is Rex Grossman or Jason Campbell which I think is unfair. He is certainly better then the majority of QB's. That being said he is so far behind greats like Brady and Peyton Manning.

Romo gets talked about because he thinks he's Brett Favre at times, yeah he's 2 time Pro Bowler, but this has been his team since October 15,2006. It's time for him to take charge. I'm not saying he should be gone, but it's time to make better decisions.

basically that's my whole issue with Romo, I don't care who he's screwing or where. When he's on that field he needs to be the MAN. And it's said because he has the best numbers at this point in his career than any Cowboy QB.

There is still plenty of time...he had the ability and the talent around him to win...he just needs to remember that more than anything. He doesn't have to do it all, he just has to direct it!

Let's not hijack this thread with an actual QB...

Bojangles pitchman Jake Delhomme:

2009 Carolina 54-91 601 yrds 2 (td) 7 (int)

That with his 5 (int) (1 td) in the last palyoff game gives him and average of .75 td and 3 int per game!

I've been watching the Tampa Bay game for 5 minutes and he's already thrown two picks. That's 10 on the season so far, and Steve Smith doesn't even have a catch. He must be confused on whether they are wearing their home or away jerseys today again. xoopsx

I do not know.....What is the NFL record for a QB throwing pick sixes?

I have kind of reached the point were I am glad it isn't on TV down here.
