Albany- I think we get it together even without McCarty; home cooking this week with the return to lauded University Field.
Monmouth- want to pick the Dukes...but that road trip always sucks from the Western PA area.
RMU- Dayton could win this game becuase they are pissed from this past week...but RMU has looked good.
UNI- SFPA has had a nice early run...by the Panthers give them the smack down. UNI is hot, hot, hot right now.
NDSU- I'd be excited if Wagner showed up.

Played about a qtr. vs. UMASS...which contributed greatly to our loss because apparently we have not groomed his back-up yet.

McCarty has a pretty bad hammy (pre-season) and now hip issue.

Albany vs. Maine - big time comeback week for the Danes. Home opener too!
Duquesne @ Monmouth - Duquense has a two-headed monster at QB and a good looking RB. Close one.
RMU vs. Dayton - 2 TD win for RMU.
SFPA @ Nothern Iowa - UNI will win by 3 TDs at least. St. Francis may win a game in the NEC this year - thank god - but it won't win this one.
Wagner @ North Dakota State - Lets just call it an "experience" for Wagner. Hopefully its not a Texas So score - 92-0.

Albany vs. Maine - I had the Danes for an upset this week, but the loss at UMass set them back a bit. UA will be in this one, but I think the Black Bears pull it off.

Duquesne @ Monmouth - The toughest pick of the week. I'm really impressed with the Dukes so far, and Monmouth has played well but faltered in both games.

Robert Morris vs. Dayton - RMU let last week slip away, but I like them to get it done at home vs the Flyers.

Saint Francis @ Nothern Iowa - If the Flash keep the margin to 28 or less, its a victory for them.

Wagner @ North Dakota State - If Wagner scores or keeps the margin to 35 or less its a subtle reason to cheer.

Albany vs. Maine - Albany gets the win at home. It is going to be a close game though.
Duquesne @ Monmouth - Duquesne has looked good, Monmouth not as much, but Monmouth is the better team and gets the win.
RMU vs. Dayton - bad loss for Dayton, and a trip to RMU, RMU wins this one.
SFPA @ Nothern Iowa - SFPA makes us proud but its not really all that close.
Wagner @ North Dakota State - Wagner doesn't make us proud and has a rough game up in Fargo.

RMU vs. Dayton: RMU has lost two by a total of four. Based upon their first game, the Flyers may be flying a little lower than usual. RMU 24-10
St. Francis (Pa) @ No. Iowa: The Red Flash turned some heads in weeks one and two, making a good showing at UNH followed by a 31-0 thrashing vs. Morehead St. UNI could be the best FCS team this year. UNI 49-7
Wagner @ North Dakota St: I really wanted to pick a Seahawk upset but got a grip. NDSU 34-10

Duquesne @ Monmouth – Dukies are a contender; bad, bad luck vs. Nichols. A small upset at The Shore.


RMU vs. Dayton – RMU solid in losses, Dayton, who knows?

Ah, fresh meat for our hungry defensive line. Should be a good game Saturday, I'll be there with 9 of my local Pittsburgh family and friends, (all Flyer fans for the day!). I know of another group coming in from out of state that will have 14 Flyer fans on hand. I expect a good game.

I saw the depth chart and thought the younger guy was the starter then I read the results from Colgate and saw that played well.
So what is your insight into the game?
The Dukes have some injuries especially losing one of their starting WR

fellow starting wideout Akeem Moore (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) suffered an internal injury on the third play of the game ... Moore spent the weekend in a Thibodaux, La. hospital ... in addition to being starting receivers, Williams and Moore are the Dukes' top two return men.

I wouldn't call Camdin Crouse fresh meat. He's a senior with game experience, unlike fellow senior Desmond Brentley (the starter the last two games). Crouse also played in last year's game against the Flyers, going 5 of 6 for 75 yards and a TD.

All Crouse needs to do is limit the turnovers. This offense can move the football if they aren't handing it back to the other team with six points gift wrapped around it.

A very good Maine team plus not having McCarthy 100% really hurts Albany. McCarthy is more important than playing the game at home. Albany keeps it close but Maine is too much and pulls away at the end.

The Dukes are opening my eyes as a team almost ready to make a move in the NEC. Their passing attack is now hurt a little with starting WR - Akeem Moore out due to an internal injury. Monmouth will struggle but a late FG will win them the game.

RMU vs. Dayton
Week 3 and RMU is already starting a new QB but at least this QB (Crouse) at least has game experience. I think the Colonial's D will be too much for Dayton. The Offense will play smart football...perhaps boring at times so they don't give up points on turnovers.

SFPA = Golf Clap. If there was a ranking for toughest schedule for 2009 would SFPA be #1? I think UNI wins and tries to make a statement but SFPA will again earn some respect from another top 10 team.
