B.W. Webb Honored as First FCS FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week
William and Mary redshirt freshman cornerback B.W. Webb’s incredible performance in the victory at Virginia last weekend continues to earn him national accolades, as he has been selected as the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA)/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week.
Webb is the first player from a FCS program to win the weekly honor since its inception in the 2001 season. Webb will be added to the 2009 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List, which helps determine candidates for the annual award that is presented to the best defensive player in college football.
