CSN So South: Big Wins and Close Losses Headline Opening Weekend

Whether your team won or lost in week one, it’s great to have football back. In week one, several FCS teams played well against FBS teams, again demonstrating the viability and excitement of the FCS brand of football.
Appalachian State and Samford nearly knocked off Conference USA teams. Liberty lost in West Virginia, but it indicated it will still be a force in the Big South. Furman won the lone SoCon-Big South matchup of the week, and Georgia Southern notched a good opening victory over a FCS opponent.
All in all, there’s a lot to talk about in the 15 So South games. Let’s get to it.
