i'm just starting to get a little depressed with all these other CAA schools doing well against FBS teams, because we NEVER do well against them. and i expect us to lose at Maryland next week, which will be even more painful considering all these other schools doing so well. if we had experience at QB, i think we could win. not with a brand new QB, though.

Tough loss for Massachusetts but a gritty performance to score 14 unanswered ini the 2d half in Manhattan KS and almost pull the upset. Minutemen looking pretty good to make some noise in the CAA. :)

Definitely sounds like we've got more fight on defense this year. Get the QB and WRs working together better and we may have something for the CAA. Happy to eat my words about my "bad vibe" about this team, this was a very encouraging result.

Great showing UMASS. Tough loss, but lots of respect earned. CAA, in general, earned lots of respect Thursday night and today vs FBS. Well, excect for NU and TSU, I guess....

I'm pleased with what I saw today. We had quite a few freshman play today exp on defense. Even one true freshman LBer played. That was expected with all three LBers from last season no longer playing this year. Our transfer LBer from Cuse didn't play due to injury also. If everyone thought D would be a weakness for UMass this year... that thought may change soon if they play like they did vs K State. Will be interesting to see how they do vs a good Albany team who took GSU to the wire. Hopefully the WRs step up and catch passes that hit their hands. We would have won today if it weren't for that.

K-State was very sloppy. They made lots of mistakes. They only had one good quarter. If they had played the whole game like they did in the second quarter then it could have been much worse.

When the UMass defense pressured Coffman he had a really hard time making passes. So if TT can do that then they can keep the scoring down.
