Sure MD according to some preview articles I read lost 30 seniors (most in school history) from their 8-5 team from last yr, has 58 1st or 2nd yr players, only 10 starters back, and just got waxed by Cal (its 45-13 now late in the 3rd) but JMU will find a way to lose to MD by 3+ TDs.xrolleyesx

Thanks all, congrats to UR and VU on your wins as well. Many will point to the seven turnovers, but WM forced the majority of them as opposed to UVA "giving" it up. Onyl one TO was a gift (sailed pass, and even then he had pressure in his face). WM defense was stellar. UVA completed passes for short gains, but I only saw a couple missed tackles all game. Punting was great. One blocked FG and two other misses, plus we missed a wide open WR on the flea flicker or it would have been even worse for UVA. Happiest with the OL play. Question mark coming in, but the more than held their own against UVA's front seven.

Just got home from Charlottesville. That was fun!!!

Tribe defense lived up to their billing. Fast, fast, fast, and found a new star in rFr. CB B.W. Webb who had three INTs including the pick 6. UVA never had time to throw the ball downfield, and W&M D seemed to get stronger as the game wore on.

RJ Archer was composed throughout, and made a number of big plays. The OL answered the call, and looks like they will be a pretty good unit.

As I watched the game unfold on ESPN360, I almost was cheering for W&M despite being a UVA grad. The Al Groh era needs to come to an end. He gets talented players, turns out some very talented pro talent, but in the end always fails to build solid, even good, teams. So W&M winning will definitely help get the Fire Al Groh engines in gear. Congrats to the Tribe.

5 negative things working against JMU vs MD:

1. A team typically makes their biggest improvement from game 1 to game 2. MD will likely be a lseat a little improved, if not much improved, from their play against Cal.

2. MD likely be much more focused on getting a win after the whipping they suffered on the Left Coast. On the other hand, if they had upset Cal, they probably wouldn't have the same focus and fire in their belly for JMU.

3. After what UR and W&M did to Duke and UVGay, MD won't take JMU lightly.

4. JMU breaking in 2 new QBs, as the starting job is still up for grabs.
