THOUGHTS ON THE GAME:

- Glaud is definately our starter this year. Its good to finally have a QB in that position who know how to play the position properly. Be the steady hand that drives the offense down the field. Its ok to scramble but when you do as a QB you have to be always looking down the field. No interceptions. Still looking for the box score but it should show how good he played tonight.
- We finally rediscovered our running game. And it gives us a balanced attack to our offense. Like I've said before. It doesn't matter how highly-regarded your personnel is if you dont utilize them. Run the ball. AND RUN IT WITH YOUR RUNNING BACKS. It made me sick that our stat lines last year were like this:

Starting QB: 15 rushes, 89 yards
Starting RB: 3 rushes, 14 yards

Now, hopefully, we don't have to worry about that anymore.

- Our kicking is wildly inconsistent. Missed PAT, short punts, bad punts. Not sold on Flickenger. Wasn't last year either.
- Special teams was good, but with Lavan as a former NFL assistant in charge of special teams. It is to be expected.
- Pass defense, our corners played an outstanding game. Even without pressure from our front four and all the time that Pulley had to throw the ball, you could tell that FAMU wanted to throw the ball more with Pulley in the beginning of the game.
- Run defense, this will be the achilles heel of our team this season. It got tiresome seeing FAMU continue to run the ball right down our throats and there was nothing that we could do to stop it. Pulley had over 200 yards rushing and I wouldn't be surprised to find out that we gave up close to 400 yards on the ground in this game. Our D-line can't get penetration, can't plug gaps, can't get pressure on the QB. I am VERY worried about this.
