Official UCA verses Hawaii Game Thread: Midnight Start Time

Tonight at midnight CST, the UCA Bears will play the Warriors of Hawaii. That means the game will be on at 1 a.m. east coast time! I can't imagine very many people will be awake for it, but I think it will be a close one and the upset special of the week! The FBS Warriors are favored due to being FBS, but UCA has a chance in this one because the Warriors don't return any starters on defense and the offense is a question mark.

You can watch the game on the hawaii school site on their ppv or if you can get KARZ out of Little Rock, Arkansas you can watch it also!

Actually it's 7 p.m. Hawaii time. The players bodies will be on midnight time.

Disadvantages:

5 hours apart in time zones. 7 p.m Hawaii = 12 midnight arkansas time.
More scholly players
Hawaiin refs (for some reason not many teams win in Hawaii)
50k stadium..the largest crowd UCA players have played in

No excuses, just stating the facts.

But I fully expect the Bears to pull this one out!

Bad call...should have stayed with the incomplete call...had they ruled a fumble, I don't think they could have changed it either...helmet contact caused the arm to go forward, but too tough to distinguish in my view...doesn't matter though.

Why do you say that? I thought they let both teams play for the most part...bad decision on the fumble call late, but appeared pretty evenly officiated from what I saw.

Just the last call. It took the refs 5 minutes to decide the call and even if they would have done the right thing and given UCA the ball, it was 3rd and 26! Come on! It was an incompletion.

I agree...if they would have ruled it a fumble to begin with, I could understand sticking with a fumble call because it was definitely borderline, but no way was there enough to reverse an incomplete pass ruling.

That's the breaks I guess. We weren't expected to win..we were a rent a win for them. But the prevailing attitude with most football fans is, even if they had 90 yards to go in a minute or less, they had a chance with 2 downs left. Small one, but Conque knows what plays to call to make it happen. Whether they're executed by a QB with a frozen neck, is a different story. xlolx Oh well, onto whipping the Sun Belch team WKU!xthumbsupx

Much closer than I expected. Looking at the stats I'm guessing the 4-1 advantage UCA had in the takeaway/giveaway stats had something to do with that but still an impressive showing. Hope they do beat Western Kentucky. That'd make the Southland 9-4 against the Sun Belt in head to head.
