Portland State at Oregon State

Kickoff scheduled for 11:30 am PDT Saturday for Portland State and Oregon State at Corvallis. Homecoming of sorts for Vikings QB Hubel who graduated from Corvallis High School. Temps are forecasted as being in the high 60's with a good chance of rain. Step up for the Vikings as they play the Pac-10 Beavers. Canfield is slated to start at QB for the Beavers, who will also have the speedy back Jacquizz Rodgers, who ran all around USC last year.

Forgot to add that the game will be shown on Fox Sports Northwest (FSN), who will show a few Beaver games this year. Not sure if they will have Rashad Floyd, former Viking cornerback, in the booth.

Vikings lose 34-7, but after watching the game, I come away more confident then I was before the game. The offense and defense look improved.
