Davidson Names 2009 Captains
Davidson football coach Tripp Merritt announced today that fullback Kirk Benedict (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax), defensive tackle Alex Griswold (Timonium, Md./St. Paul’s School), defensive tackle Daniel Hauffe (Manassas, Va./Osbourne), linebacker Tyler Lemons (Belmont, N.C./South Point) and offensive lineman Jason Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Tatnall School) have been named captains of the 2009 team. The captains, all of whom are seniors, were selected in a vote by the student-athletes and coaching staff.
