Calhoun Warns Falcons to give Nicholls State Proper Respect

“We have a new team, a new focus and a new opponent,” said Thomas, whose Colonels will play Air Force on Saturday at Falcon Stadium.
But the Rice game lives in the present at the academy.
Air Force coach Troy Calhoun has used it as a warning to his players not to underestimate Nicholls State, a Football Championship Subdivision squad. He’s also told them how the Colonels have had a player selected in each of the last three NFL drafts and how their roster includes transfers from Southeastern Conference squads, including safeties Tyson Andrus (LSU) and Jordan Nevels (Kentucky).
