NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In conjunction with the start of the 2009 Pilot Pen Tennis tournament at Yale University’s Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, the event’s defending champion Caroline Wozniacki and Flavia Pennetta, the No. 10 ranked player in the world, took the court at another Yale venue on Monday for a “Football Tennis” match at Yale Bowl. The historic football stadium, which opened in 1914, served as the site of the world’s largest tennis court for the occasion.
