Illinois State @ Eastern Illinois (Prairie State Rivalry Game)

Very excited to the start of a new season. The games between IL St and Eastern IL are always very good. IL State has had a handle on these games for a while until EIU took a very exciting victory in Bloomington last year. IL St will be looking to take back control of this rivalry or EIU will be looking to start their own streak.

It will be very interesting to see how EIU's new named QB Jake Christensen will play in his first game in panther blue.

I'm looking for a very exciting game, with EIU winning.

Good test for the Birds right out of the gate. A win here might allow for some optimism this season. As long as we're competitive, I'll be satisfied.

Anxious to see what coach Spack has up his sleeves for the opener!
