With their second straight extra inning, walk-off win Tuesday night, the Colorado Rockies moved to 72-54, just 2 games behind the LA Dodgers in the NL West. The two teams will match up Wednesday and Thursday at Coors Field. The Rockies also lead the NL Wild Card race by 4 games over the Giants.
At 18 games over .500, the Rockies are at their high water mark in franchise history, surpassing their 90-73 record at the end of the 2007 season. The Rockies are 54-26 under manager Jim Tracy, they were 18-28 this season under former manager Clint Hurdle.

IMO they need to still win 19 more games before they have the best record in their franchise history...games of .500 doesn't mean squat.

What a great season! I don't think anyone projected this 3 months ago. I don't like MLB but wow, I'll jump back on the Rockies bandwagon.

Yep. In order to have the best record in history, you must surpass the number of wins for the ENTIRE season.
