Walkon Tryouts To Initiate Lamar's Fall Football Program
Lamar University will kick off its fall football program with a walkon tryout session scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday on the practice field adjacent to the south parking lot of Provost Umphrey Stadium.
The Cardinals’ 34 scholarship players will join invited walkons for a light workout in helmets and shorts later that afternoon, and the team’s first full-padded practice will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31.
