The video board will measure 13 feet high by 32 feet wide, and the ribbon board is 4 feet by 32 feet. The new light emitting diode (LED) static scoreboard will be 8 feet by 32 feet. Capturion Network, based in Laurel, Miss., whose recent clients include Mississippi State (football), Rice (baseball), Southern Mississippi (football), and Tulane (football), is the manufacturer.

Seems like everyone else is going with Daktronics. There's no reason for me to find that interesting, but I do.

Why is the scoreboard so far back from the endzone?

Paladin Stadium is an open but cozy stadium…The sight lines will be very good IMO… the photos make the scoreboard look further back than reality.

They used the existing support beams (with some added reinforcement) from the old scoreboard, so it's in the same place as the old one. The placement/position of the old one was not one of its problems. I can't wait to see this thing in action.

Also, you don't want your new video board placed too close to the field. Ask Jerry Jones. :)
