Senior defensive lineman Nathan Wayne suffers season-ending injury

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - University of North Dakota senior defensive end Nathan Wayne will miss the entire 2009 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon during practice this week.

This is always tough to hear. These players anywhere really enjoy their chosen sport. M aybe he be givena medical red shirt and play in 2010.

Those Achilles injuries are tough. Very long and difficult recovery and, from what I've been told, extremely painful. He does have youth on his side so hopefully he can overcome this, get a medical redshirt and maybe play again someday. Best of luck to him.
