I thought before the day -13 would win the tourney. That might be conservative. The length is nutts but the greens are cake. It's a wonderful course but it's really not very hard for players of this caliber. The PGA does try to make it the "easier" major. Unless someone completey goes wild i don't see Tiger losing this weekend and i'm someone who always bets the field.

Tiger in the clubhouse with the lead at -5. Pretty good start and hopefully the first step towards another major.

He's been pretty lousy in first rounds of majors lately, so it's surely a good sign for him. He's been on a tear for the past month.

I am a huge Tiger fan and am looking forward to seeing him get number 15... I think that will occur sunday... especially if he keeps up this bogey free stuff...

he is slowly turning in one of his best years...!

Looking forward to a full day on Hazeltine. My daughter said the best spot was near the water on the 16th hole. Most of the shots ended up there. Might give it a try. $7.50 for a hamburger xoopsx

I'm actually OK with that. It's the $8 for a can of Bud that gets my goat. xsmhx

Vijay's making a minor move - could be even with Tiger after his second round (of course, with Tiger still to play all 18 of his).

Fun time today. Got to see just about all the pros. We would go 5 or 6 groups ahead of Tiger and watch without much hassle as the groups came by. Then a surge of people would come through with Tiger, the gallery would get 5-10 deep along the fairways. A couple dozen photographers, a group of media, and several security people. Quite the phenomena. The Tiger surge would pass, and then the other golfers would come by just like guys out for a weekend round, little fanfare etc.

An aside, saw Joe Nathan in the PGA Clubhouse and told him to take it to the Indians tonight, well the Twins are up 11-0, so not much of a chance of Nathan.

What a meltdown for VJ. Tiger is so steady. The guy is a machine. Would be good if Harrington was paired with Tiger tomorrow, but I hear it will be Yang. How do they determine that if both are tied in second--the best score in round 3?

Player who finishes first is put behind the other player. Yang finished before Harrington.

I would have preferred to see Harrington paired with Tiger tomorrow, but oh well... Didn't watch much of the 3rd round (or much of Yang this weekend) but Harrington has been playing well... just not quite Tiger well.

Yang won... what a surprise. He had some spectacular shots today. Chip in for eagle on 14 and the shot on 18.

The wind that we are used to in Minnesota, took it's toll on the pros today. xlolx

Tiger is still the hardest working pro on tour. He was sighted at a local healthclub Thursday morning at 5:00am, left a 6:00am, and teed off shortly after 8am. Paddy really blew it on #8, 2 balls in the water. Yang was just on his game, and kept the pressure on Tiger.

Congrats to Yang xthumbsupx

It was fun, the next big event at Hazeltine is the 2016 Ryder Cup. Heard they have been offered a couple PGA's in the 2020's, but the club officials want to pursue another US Open. If I'm still here in Minnesota, it would be great to attend.
