Activity on the Chester waterfront is kicking into high gear as the home of the Philadelphia Union rises ever-higher each day.

“Years of hard work from many people have gone into making this stadium project a reality and it’s a spectacular site to see the building rapidly taking shape,” said Philadelphia Union CEO & Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz. “Our construction partners are working relentlessly, with about 150 workers on site every day, and we’re extremely appreciative of their commitment. We’re very proud to be revitalizing the Chester waterfront into a special place where people can come work, live and play.”

Glad to hear no one on the construction site has yet been hit by a stray bullet from a Chester gangster.

Can I see it from the Commodore Barry Bridge? Yes to the Union!

Stadium in Chester, what a disaster waiting to happen. Kensington would be a safer alternative.

Come on, it'll be like the Liacouras Center in North Philly - they're building new access roads which basically takes you from an interstate to the stadium - no one's going to have to trapse through Chester to get there. And besides, the waterfront is empty down that way anyway, the tough parts of Chester are north of there.

Stadium looks good.
