Legend comes home to Idaho State

As they warmed up for the opening game of the Rocky Mountain Rumble against California’s Colfax High in September, an oppressive wave of noise descended on them from the rowdy Holt Arena stands. Altitude TV cameras surrounded the Spartans, ready to broadcast the game against their vaunted Californian opponents to a national audience.
To make things worse, fans on the opposite sideline were tearing down signs Minico’s cheerleaders had painstakingly painted and hung up. Colfax’s players joined in by reaching up and slapping at the shredded banners.
“Our kids were petrified,” said Perrigot, Minico’s coach. “They were so scared.”
As Perrigot searched for words to boost his team’s spirits, his trusty running back Skylar Morgan piped up.
