That's the theme for this year. UNC lost 5 games by a touchdown or less last year. Some of them on fluke plays like fumbles and hail marry's. This ears Bears are the most experienced coach Downing has had since taking over. His biggest class is the redshirt JR's (Downing's first recruiting class). UNC picked up some high profile transfers from Wyoming. Including Darin McDonald. He played minor league baseball for a few years after prepping at Cherry Creek High School. On the offensive side, Downing finally has a starting quarterback in place for the second season in a row. Senior Bryan Waggener finished fifth in the Big Sky Conference in passing last season with 2,546 yards and 14 touchdowns but tied for a league-high 15 interceptions.

Perhaps that part should've been left out. Ha.
