Bush has been consistently excellent all year and deserves the trophy. Young is a great player, but he's had a few down games (A&M, to name one).

No question, Bush. To bad Adrian Peterson was hurt in the middle part of the season or he would be in the running too.

Reggie Bush: Carries 187, Yds 1658, Avg. 8.9, Long 76(TD), TDs 15
Adrian Peterson: Carries 197, Yds 1024, Avg. 5.2, Long 84(TD), TDs 14

Young threw for 2769 yds and 26 TD's and ran for 850 yards and 9 TD's

Leinart threw for 3450 yds and 27 TD's and ran for 34 yards and 6 TD's

Bush rushed for 1658 yds and 15 TD's and caught 31 passes for 2 TD's

I'll be a contrarian. Yes, Bush is a great back, but he also has a great line. I' m also tired of the Heisman going to either a running back or QB so I'm submitting Tamba Hali of DE of Penn State. A tremendous force up front, causing most teams to double and triple team him, opening up the rest of the PSU to create mahem. Hali's play versus OSU and Wisconsin did it for me.
But I know Bush will get it....

Reggie Bush easy. Yes, I know Vince Young and Matt Leinart are both QBs so they can't, but Reggie can do kick returns, rushing, and recieving. For the person who said the guy from PSU... if any deffensive guy got invited it would be A.J. Hawk. Paul Posluszny is the best deffensive player on PSU, anyway.

Young all the way. His numbers represent only one half of play (in most cases). He is a great leader and has awsome athletic ability. He is the leader of the #2 team in the nation, soon to be National Champs!

I wouldn't disagree about that, he completely shout down UW by himself. Definate top 3 NFL pick.

I wouldn't trade Young for 2 Bushes and a Leinart. Young was the best player on the field by a long shot.

Oh COME ON!!! Are Bush and Leinart all of a sudden horrible football players because they lost??? Would you REALLY take one great QB over the combo of 2 great Running Backs and a great QB? If USC had won you'd probably be saying "I'll take 1 Bush and 1 Leinart with a broken leg over 3 Youngs any day of the week!!!"

Bandwagon's to jump on after the fact seem to be all the rage these days.

Leinhart lost a few points with me after his little whiney tirade after the game. "We are the best team", "we beat ourselves", etc., etc., etc. Matty better get used to losing, he'll be doing quite a bit of it for at least a few years in the NFL.

The best players on the field last night were, in the following order:

1) Young (by a long shot)
2) White (had MVP locked up until about 6 minutes left in game)
3) Leinart (has exactly 1/2 the game of Young)
4) Bush (Texas proved he could be contained, for the most part)

Young proved he's completely unstoppable (even by the "Greatest Team Ever")...I'd LOVE to see him in a Cardinal uniform, but I'm sure that won't happen. They'll be too busy trading down to collect draft picks.

But does Leinhart (and Bush) get a few points back for going into the Texas locker room after the game to congratulate the team for winning?

I honestly don't care who won, it's not important to me. I get disgusted watching Corso and Herbsreit (or whatever his name is) salivate on ESPN over Bush/Leinart/Young. It seems like they think that if they give them enough accolades, Bush/Leinart/Young might give Corso/Herbie the chance to go down on them. xazzx

Hahaha, it seems that way sometimes.

Seriously though, all three of them are incredible athletes and I hope they do well in the NFL. Bush needs to put on a few more pounds, but he is so incredibly fast that it won't slow him down that much. I really liked Leinhart during the season, he just wanted to come back and play college football one more year. Got to give him that. I guess the "we beat ourselves" comment just got to me, especially when Carroll was being very careful to congratulate Texas as a team and not just say they got beat by one person, or that they "gave" their #1 status away.

That was the first time to see any of them play. Young was quite a bit better than Bush. Leinart is good but he ain't Young. White is the best RB on USC's team. There are several RBs in Bush's league but not QBs in the Young's league.
