So the Nats traded for Alfonso Soriano. Awesome!!! :hurray:

But what the hell...why couldn't they keep Esteban Loiaza or sign Burnett?? I don't care how good AS is, the Nats won't be very good with a two-man rotation.

You can't ever say that Atlanta will be down. Atlanta was supposed to be down last season though....but they have the best farm system in all of baseball, so when a key player goes down they have a farm player that can step up and fill in very well.

I think the next step for the Nats should be need another good bat, or just get rid of Guzman at short and get a half-decent bat as his replacement. And 3 more starting pitchers!!!

Atl = bad this year because of one word: BULLPEN

unless ofcourse, my Wolfpack boy Joey Devine can turn into a stud sooner than later

plus.........Leo is gone, so we'll see how that effects the staff (fyi- there are 4 guys on the staff that I am older than, and I'm only 23, Leo would have helped alot)

and look at Atlanta's infield now, very young, assuming they play Betemit at SS and don't sign a free agent, u'd have LaRoche, Giles, Betemit and Jones, good offensively, but remains to be seen on defense

You know alot more about the Braves than I do! But I just remember last year....the Nats were in first place going into the all-star break, and I kept reading that the Braves farm system was A+ and would put them in first place for the umptieth time. Yep...that's exactly what happened! IMO, their 'rookies' are not your typical rookie. They seem to have much more skill, poise and confidence than rookies on other teams.

HAHA....no, they just sell away all their prospects and then rely on 35+ year olds to win them a ring! Hell, the Yanks do that every year....and....oh, wait...they HAVEN'T won a ring with the 200+ million salary!

I don't like the Braves, but that's only because they have been so damn good year after year. I definitely respect them, and give them all the props in the world for being so consistent. Maybe they'll actually win another WS soon, eh??

But back to topic...the Nats! Think they can go all the way with a 2-man rotation?? Hernandez and Patterson...they'll have 600+ innings each next season!!! :rotateh: :rotateh:
