I would agree and think maybe a 7-10 point spread.

The X factore (as usual) is AE and how ECU deals with him. If they underestimate him (not likely) he could really go off and you guys could win big.

If they play him right and he plays well, then I think a 7-10 point spread in ECU's favor is where it will fall.

Seems reasonable. We have a chance in the game, but after 2007 nobody in FBS will overlook us. I'm looking forward to the game. I just hope I can get a ticket.

If App can keep it within two possessions, put some points on the board & come away healthy, I'll be happy. ECU's D is good and will be the best ASU faces all season. They are very familiar with the spread due to several teams in C-USA running it and the WVU results from last year. Coach Holtz will have his team prepared, as a loss would be detrimental to the Pirate program in regards to respect and recruiting in NC.

I would expect more defense in this game since defenses catch on quicker than offenses in openers, which unfortunately, gives the big advantage to ECU.

I am going to say ECU by 2 touchdowns. They are going to give ASU everything they got like LSU did and not overlook them like Michigan did. Despite that I think ASU has enough to hang for a while and possibly have this game within one score (FG or TD) heading into the 4th quarter or at least at some point in the 3rd quarter. I think we all need to pull for ASU and any FCS team facing a FBS team because beating FBS teams are huge for the division and will only strengthen recruiting and the overall talent!

I know it is just a turn of a phrase, but Michigan did NOT overlook App. They just could not catch us. In the pregame show, taped a few days before the game, Coach Carr stated that ASU was the fastest team he had ever seen.

We were also beating Kentucky going into the half. Sure they are a weak SEC team but App was just dominated last year by a weak LSU team. App losing to Richmond 33-13 who lost to Virginia as well doesn't mean anything to you i'm guessing.

Patrick Pinkney has enough experience in the offense to make him possibly one of the best quarterbacks in the country, not because of his skills but more because his decision making should be through the roof after being here for 6 years now with 5 of them being under Holtz.

Regardless of the outcome in Greenville, no way in Hades that App overlooks McNeese. If we lose to ECU, then there will be something to prove in Boone (especially in our new stadium).

For this game, it has got to be ECU. So much money of mine is going to the university it would be a waste for me not to want` the best for the institution known as ECU. My dad does have seaso tickets to App so after this game its back to the old ericsaid haha.

You wouldn't understand. I want App to have a chance but after seeing the offensive line at Fan Fest I have to be realistic. They are by no means consistant which will not bode well for the offense as a whole especially the quarterback.

I hope i'm wrong and App makes a good showing but I see it coming out in the 2 to 3 TD range, maybe even 4 if AE isn't playing.

But Travaris Cadet could give App the chance to keep it within 2 because of his elusiveness regardless of what dlineman is coming after him.xeyebrowx

That, as the LSU fans were saying, knocked me back down to reality. I notcied the talent gap in the game and now I look at things a little bit more consertalively. I really don't think ASU will be able to run against the d-line of ECU after what I saw against LSU. Sure this is a different set of Olineman but the Fan Fest showed a weakness there everyone noticed at times.
