College Fantasy Football!

Hey guys,

It's starting to get near that time of the year again. Not sure if any of yall have heard about this or tried it, but CBS Sports has recently started doing COLLEGE fantasy football. It's pretty awesome and includes players from any I-A team. Thought it'd be fun to do a league for this board, since we're all so obsessed with college football. To sign up, just got to http://collegefb.cbssports.com/splash/collegefb/spln/single ... pln/single and click "play now." You may need to sign up with CBS, but it's quick and easy. It will prompt you to creat a team name, and then press submit. The next page will have a databse of leagues to join. Under the title "Search Leagues by Name," search for "AGS." The league should then pop up below. Click "join" under the heading "action" and enter the league password "password."

The draft is scheduled right now for Aug. 25 at 9:15 pm, but that might be able to be changed if its neccesary.

seeing your comment made me check my schedule and I realized it is a tuesday night which is the only night that I cannot do it... I have bible study every tuesday... :(

unfortunatly cbssports doesnt allow the time to be changed for some darn reason.

you can pre-rank your players if you'd like though and that usually works out well. i did that one year and i basically got all the players I had originally wanted anyways. The funny thing about NCAA fantasy is that because the talent pool is so large, their is a very minimal difference between players potential value. so even if you don't get all the specific players you had wanted, youll still be in good hands.

last resort: we simply make another league, but we'd have to do it quick and make sure everyones on board. I think it might be too complicated. Sunday night around 7-8 would work best for me.

Sunday is fine. Maybe the new league should be an 8 or 6 person league since this is kind of short notice.

okay guys,

ive created a new league, this time the draft date is on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 10 AM. I tried to get it for the night time, unfortunalty, it only allowed for morning times. Since we've already lost a good number of days just trying to figure this out already, I just decided to go with that. So if you have church or soemthing Sunday morning, prerank your players. Hangovers are no excuse either haha.

anyways, its pretty easy to sign up: just go onto the current league page and click "change leagues" then search for "AGS 2" it should say "take two!" under its description. The password is once again "password"

Ill be sending private emails and/or PMs to make sure everyones on board. I did change the number of teams to 8, though so the league doesnt get srewed if we dont have 10 teams by Sunday.

Let me know if there's any problems!

I want to emphasize that I changed the league to 8 teams (because previously we were stuck with only 9 teams, leaving us screwed if we couldn't get another team by the draft day). I didn't want to take the chance that everyone would commit to the move to the new league AND we'd get another team to join. This means, however, if all 9 teams do want to join, therell be an odd man out. So please, hurry up and switch leagues. I don't want you to miss out!

If someone does get left out, by the way, there's a league on the CAAZone Im also trying to fill.
