Great job by the NEC officials. The most games on TV in a season, yet! xthumbsupx

Somerset, NJ -- Set to commence its 14th football season, the Northeast Conference (NEC) today announced plans to televise four games in 2009.

The first two games of the package will air live on MSG-Plus and Fox College Sports as perennial NEC contender Monmouth welcomes Duquesne at noon on September 19th, followed by Constitution State opponents Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut State meeting in New Britain at noon on October 3rd. Smack? On the FCS board? I can't believe my eyes. xwhistlex Not enough SWAC news to comment on?

This isn't a comprehensive list of all NEC games that will be televised. This is just the list of NEC sponosored broadcasts that go out to a wider broadcast area (MSG & Fox College Sports) and will be available nationally to DirectTV and other satelite customers.

For example - Albany home games will be televised on TimeWarner cable as they have been in the past.

How does one announce a television schedule which is not comprehensive? I cn understand that games will be televised elsewhere, but you would think a conference would like to list as many games as possible!

And no smack intended, just the facts of life. Would gander to guess the NEC's GPI is in a bit better place than where the league stands as far as televised contests...

Because those broadcasts aren't under deals with the league. they are deals with the individual schools. This news release relates to NEC produced games, which the release clearly indicates.

And it is smack because the post had absolutely nothing to do with the level of play of the NEC. Did you post that maybe Dartmouth should win a game or two in the YES network Yale thread? Didn't think so.
