Nice to see soccer matches between MLS sides and those internationally pulling such great crowds. It was just a few years ago that an MLS match was the first half of a doubleheader, prior to a match between two international squads.

Soccer is getting big! We're also seeing neutral site friendlies in the States. I think Columbia is playing El Salvador in Houston in early August.

Who was Chelsea playing the other night on TV? It was way across the restaurant from me but I'm pretty sure it was Chelsea in a US stadium. xeyebrowx

Chelsea was playing Club America in the World Soccer Challenge which also featured Inter Milan and AC Milan. All 4 teams participated in a round robin won by Chelsea. I think Club America had the 2nd best record while AC left without a victory.

Now if we could only get 70,000 fans to come to a game featuring 2 MLS teams... ha ha.
