A lot of hype around him, even before he was red-shirted last year. Believe he currently would sit at 5th on our RB depth chart, some predicting him to move up quickly. I hope everything we hear is true.

I can't let number 37 go by without mentioning Montana's tradition with this jersey. As noted in a Missoulian article a few years ago:
For those unfamiliar with the tradition of the No. 37 jersey, it's been worn by a former Grizzly from the state of Montana since Paulson [Kraig Paulson, the orginator of this tradition, and currently Montana's D Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach]. The bearer of the jersey has the privilege of choosing his successor. [Tim] Hauck, Todd Ericson, Jason Crebo, [Andy] Petek and [Ciche] Pitcher all earned some sort of All-America honor. The player wearing it has become UM's "Designated Hitter.''
Link to Missoulian article about Utterback and #37 tradition (http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2004/03/16/sports/sports01.txt)
Loren Utterback followed Pitcher, and Utterback passed it on to Carson Bender.
Before his injury last year very big things were forecast for Carson. Can't wait to see how he plays this year.

Carson Bender is unbelievably athletic, and could easily be a DE. If he stays healthy he has All American and NFL potential.

Sorry, 37 was worn by Horace Belton (Hornsby was 35 when he played at Southeastern) ... both are the only numbers retired in Southeastern history.
