Tough loss for the Eagles, though this is not really news any more. Let's hope McDermott was able to sponge some knowledge from JJ. I hope the Eagles don't lose any of their aggressiveness this year.
Get well Jim.

Get well JJ! The first Super Bowl victory will be for you!!
Regarding Joe Mays, some training camp thoughts (not my words, just some info):
Joe Mays --- He was a ton of fun to watch last summer. Joe hit like a ton of bricks and just flew around attacking everything he could. He barely got on the field in the season. Joe needs a good summer to prove to the coaches that he belongs on STs and maybe in some defensive packages.
Also, as an Eagle fan, and a Joe Mays fan, I hope he doesn't injure any offensive starters in camp with his hitting!

Jim Johnson was the most significant person to contribute to the success of the Philadelphia Eagles. More than any one player or thing he was responsible for the Eagles being at the table of the NFL elite for the last 10 years.
Hats off to Andy Reid for bringing Johnson on board. xthumbsupx
I wish the Eagles best. Officially, I have switched Pro allegiance to the Ravens.
I pray Johnson beats this ultimate test. His defenses stopped everything else. Let's hope he can figure out how to defend one more time.

I agree - geez, I liked Gannon an incredible amount and even then whatever team he was on was my second favorite team after the Eagles. Changing allegiances for a team is just weird. That's how cowboy fans happen. xsmhx

I am a proud Ravens fan just as I was a proud Colt's fan as a kid. I got to meet Johnny U., Jim Parker, and John Mackey. The Eagles never made it to Southern De.. Irsay turned me off to the Colts and it took some time for me to come back. But I will always back the Delaware guy. Right now that is the Ravens. By the way I loved watching McFraud getting benched vs. the Ravens.

Yes, I plan to be there Tuesday with a client of mine who is an Eagles fanatic. As a Lehigh Alum we get day to have a reserved tent for breakfast and lunch, with a couple players to show during lunch, and a raffle to get on the sideline for part of the session. Hopefully the weather cooperates. These rolling thunderstorms late in the day around here play havoc with the schedules.

I'll be up there for one day. It'll be a weekday and I'll choose based on coolest and driest forecast. I've been up there on some miserably hot days some years when I had a less flexible schedule and got burned (literally) by the weather.

Hopefully Jim gets well soon. His defenses, in particular their insistence on getting continuous pressure with a rotation of linemen, always made the Eagles a tough opponent for the G-Men. A great football coach, and Philly was lucky to have him at the helm xbowx xbowx xbowx
Nothing but respect for the man from this NFC East rival xnodx (and thanks for 2 great years of Spags as our DC xthumbsupx)
