The Red Sox and Indians are in talks on a deal for Victor Martinez. Boston would have to give up some pitching prospects but don't appear willing to include Clay Buchholz in any deal.
Martinez has a team option for 2010 before becoming a free agent.
Boston might be able to get Cleveland to budge on a deal for say Michael Bowden and Manny Delcarmen.
