I do not think anyone thought he was going to stay once it was announced he was on the list to be interviewed. It was pretty much a done deal...

Who do we think is in the mix for the SLU athletic director job? Are their any up and comers in the SLC or nearby Div IIs? What's the thinking in Hammond?

And that sure moved fast in Mobile. A 2 p.m. press conference on a Sunday?

Interim named...wonder how the hiring freeze in Louisiana is impacting those in Hammond.

HAMMOND - Tim Baldwin, a member of the athletics staff at Southeastern Louisiana University since 1988, has been named interim director of athletics. He will fill the position held by Dr. Joel Erdmann who is leaving the university this week to accept a similar position at the University of South Alabama. Baldwin's appointment is subject to approval by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.

Southeastern President John L. Crain said Baldwin, currently Head Coach of Men's Golf, will assume additional duties as Athletic Director until a permanent director is selected. The university is moving forward with a search for Erdmann's replacement. Baldwin has indicated he does not intend to be an applicant.
