Nice job by all promoting the SLC...Love my boy Deke to death but I was a little embarrassed when he called UCA the "Sugar Bears" twice...otherwise nice publicity for the league.

Sorry, but that wasn't promoting the SLC...dude needed some education on the freakin' league before he opens his mouth. I couldn't listen to it..xnonono2x

Sorry you couldn't listen to it, but WWL can be heard in 47 states and having four league coaches on for nearly an hour in that time slot is great exposure...Deke and Bobby aren't Southland experts by any means, but they could have just as easily talked Saints/LSU (as usual) which drives their ratings...I for one appreciate the two of them for taking an interest in promoting FCS football...Bobby played at Northwestern State and Deke has always been a friend of the "little-guy" and not just Saints/LSU...just wish he would have done a better job at "show-prep."

UCABEAR - Bobby and Deke are not the most well-versed on a number of subjects!

While this may have been your first chance to catch them, I listen to them on the way home from work for sure entertainment. Even for the Saints and LSU, the two things they follow most - they mess up all the time! You never know what they are going to say and can count on them for all sorts of miscues and mistakes.

My favorite is when they have a guest in and completely slaughter their name. xnonono2x

It's all about the show prep. xsmiley_wix (didn't read your latest post, sorry for the doublepost).

Nice though for some FCS coverage (especially the non-Louisiana schools) on a 50,000-watt flamethrower that can hit 42 states (that's what one of their former guys, Kaare Johnson, would proclaim) on a good night xthumbsupx

I thought it was pretty honorable of Peveto to give Stoker some credit for the incoming recruited class. you know how easy it is for for coaches to keep it for themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they spoke about the SLC and with the coaches, but it seems like everytime UCA heads to Louisiana, they get called the Sugar Bears, such as in our game iwth Louisiana Tech. To me i'd prefer no coverage as opposed to bad coverage. Just my opinion though and I'm glad you guys enjoy their show. xthumbsupx

It's understandable you wouldn't care for the "Sugar Bears" mistake, but how many times will your head coach get that much air time on a major radio station in a prime out-of-state recruiting market? I doubt very often. While we can nit-pick this and nit-pick that as far as how prepared the hosts were, bottom line is our league got an hour of free time with four head coaches having a chance to promote their team on a 50,000 watt station that can be heard almost nationwide. Would be interested to know how many other FCS leagues can say the same.
