Nice, nice, nice facility! Got to work on baseball complex and continue the upgrades of the overall athletics side of things...are all the suites sold out?
Next month, assorted members of the athletic department will move into a brand-new, three-story, 84,000-square foot palace that not only closes the north end of A.W. Mumford Stadium, but give the Jaguars perhaps the best football facility in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Until Texas Southern gets in with the Houston Dynamo and move into that soccer-specific stadium in downtown Houston. Of course, no TSU offices there I'd suspect since it's not on their campus. Probably just a few practices and all their home games.
And wow...
In fact, the track facilities were supposed to double as locker rooms for visiting football teams.
But that may not happen.
“We don’t know about that yet,” said Larry McGhee, project manager for the Southern University System Foundation. “(When) you have the opposing team come into a new facility, they don’t always treat it right. Especially after they lose.”
Can not believe someone would say that. Paints a bad stereotype of what this man thinks of the teams that visit the stadium.

The money has been in place for years for the baseball complex, but we know how Louisiana red tape is.

Or if you are lucky, the institution takes away the money that is in place... xnonono2x

they borrowed 60 mil, what are they going to do with the rest of the aprox. 40 mil?
McNeese did not borrow one frickin dime from anybody for their project and it seems like it turned the tape into concrete. does not make sense.

Southern University didnt borrow nothing. Southern University Foundation borrowed the money similar to how TAF borrows money for LSU's Athletic Projects. The money has gone to new dorms, rec center, baseball field house, and other projects which the state seemed to take care of at certain schools, but for whatever reason wouldnt give SU the money for the same projects.

Wouldn't be TT if you don't throw a little "lagniappe" in. Just compliment and move on.

What was that for?
Anyone affiliated with a school not named LSU in the state knows how things run in this state. Are you not aware of how higher education works in Louisiana? xnonono2x

That comment was based on the comment about how McNeese didn't need to borrow money. Just say congrats and leave it at that. So envy.

no need to hate because one school can raise money and another has to borrow.
