I had tickets, with my two older brothers to the second game of the DH. I remember going to the stadium, being seated and seeing the managers, umpires, and league officials walk around the field. Shortly there was an announcement that the playing surface/conditions had been deemed un safe, un fit, and un playable. Almost got out of hand again as we were leaving, and back in those days that wasn't the best neighborhood to be in during a bad situation.

I saw some of that, but I thought they were going to show the whole thing tonight.

Sad to say i'm old enough to remember that when it happened. Also remember Bat Day at Clevelands "Mistake by the lake" Municipal stadium I think was the official name the fans just about destroyed the place with free bats that were giving to them. Another good one was the 25 cents for a quart of beer at Brewer Stadium in Milawkee can't remember exactly but there were a few brawls in the stands and I think the game may have been called.
