Former Hampton Pirate McCaskill Signs with the Jets
Former Hampton University offensive lineman Nevin McCaskill signed on Monday with the New York Jets, a week after being released by the Green Bay Packers.
McCaskill, who was a Pirate from 2003-06, signed with the Packers on Dec. 11, 2008 after spending part of the season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. In 2007, the 6-foot-4, 300-pound McCaskill signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills, spending that season on the team’s practice squad.
