Head Athletic Trainer Jeff Smith Resigns from Nicholls State
THIBODAUX, La. - Nicholls Head Athletic Trainer Jeff Smith resigned from his post to take a position at his alma mater, Northwest Missouri State, late last week, announced Nicholls Athletics Department on Wednesday afternoon.
Smith, who has held the position at Nicholls since 2003, is going back to Northwest Missouri State to handle all athletic training needs for the NCAA Division II powerhouse in football. The university is also located close to his hometown of Mexico, Missouri, which puts him closer to his family.
