So funny that just last week on HBO's RealSports, he was bragging that he never carried less than $1,000 cash in his pocket and he was driving around in his $400K Maybach.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I feel bad for all the people he's cheated out of money. Several were featured in the HBO piece. They're not bigshots either. For instance, he hired a flight attendant, and not only didn't pay her salary, but actually borrowed her credit card and ran it up to $10K and never paid her for that either.

Dykstra = Class A Douche Bag

"I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

Yeah, I wasn't aware of "The Dude" nickname, either.

As GannonFan mentioned, Harry Kalas dubbed Dykstra "The Dude" because of his Southern California upbringing and tendency to call everyone "dude".

First I've ever heard of this nickname for Nails.
