The Bears on Sunday signed undrafted free agent safety Brandon McGowan following the completion of their weekend rookie minicamp and released wide receiver Darrin Charles.
McGowan, a product of Maine, participated in the minicamp on a tryout basis. Charles had practiced with the Bears Friday and Saturday after signing as an undrafted free agent from Wisconsin.
